How to choose the right unit
Five points to set your priorities before you start viewing.
Choosing a unit is not only about price. Before visiting any project, write down your priorities so you do not get lost among options.
Start with your total budget
Decide the down payment you can pay and a monthly instalment you are comfortable with. Do not look at the price alone; add handover, maintenance and finishing costs if they are not included.
Define the use
Is the unit to live in or to invest in? Living cares about distance to work, schools and services; investing cares about the project location and how easy it is to resell.
Compare per metre, not just the total
- Price per square metre shows the real difference between two units.
- Compare net area with gross area.
- Ask about the finishing level and what the price includes.
Ask about the delivery date
The expected handover date affects your decision and your payment plan. Ask for it in writing.
